Altoid tin card swap

In my art group we are doing a swap of little cards that will fit into an altered altoid mints tin. The little cards are 2" by 3.25", each of the particpants had to choose a theme and all the others had to make a card for them. There is 6 of us in the group so in the end each of us will have pretty cards in our chosen theme to put in our altered tin.
Here are the cards I made:

This one is to the theme of "Big eyed people"

These two are "Steampunk" and "Phrenology"

This one's theme is "Portals", my little doorway actually opens, behind the door is the word Hope.
Finally

This one is to the theme of Things with wings and pointy hats".
My own theme was Steampunk also and I can't wait to get my little cards. being even smaller than an ATC, they were great fun to do!

The Three Muses "Artist of Choice"

The theme at the Three Ms is Artist of Choice. I could have chosen so many as I really don't have one favourite one. However, the one that seems to crop up again and again in my own artwork is William Bouguereau. I just love is lifelike young girls and women. The image in this journal page is from a Lunagirl CD that I purchased a while back.

I have been published

I have just officially heard that I've been published in Somerset Studios Art Journaling magazine! I have n't seen a copy of it yet but hope to get one soon. It's my little travel journal that I made over the summer, if you scroll down my blog you'll find the pages somewhere I'm sure:o)

Having fun

I've had the most wonderful day in my art space making various pieces for a swap and a challenge in my art group.
Here are three atcs on the theme of "Birds". Each atc had to have a bird on it, an egg and the word egg somewhere.

And here is a journal page. This is for a challenge. We have to do one or two pages every month on a given theme. The theme this month was "favourite colour". I just could not decide what my favourite colour is and so I chose all the colours of the rainbow, though in fact it turned out that blue was the most dominant.

Mini journal

In my art group we are doing a mini journal swap. We have to make a 3.5 by 5" page each month on the theme of Birds. We are encouraged to think outside the box. I loved a freebee, that the generous Terri Kahrs has posted on her blog, so much that I decided to use it for my first page. I altered it quite a bit but you can find the original here Thank you Terri!

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
